PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to the Governor’s Proclamation 20-28, there are limitations on public gatherings. In an effort to curtail the spread of COVID-19, the meetings will take place online. All meeting participants will attend remotely and the public may watch the meeting online or listen to it over the telephone.

Upcoming Meetings - Zoom Information 
If the public would like to listen via telephone, call 1-253-215-8782. To watch the meeting online: 1) Click on the link below or go to https://zoom.us/join; 2) Enter meeting ID (see below) and click “join” (you will be prompted to install the Zoom application if you do not already have it); and 3) Enter passcode (see below).

Public Comment Protocol 
Effective March 11, 2021, you may submit public comments via email to cityhall@mltwa.gov, mail to City Hall, 23204 58th Avenue W, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043, or provide verbal comments during the public comments agenda item at the meeting. Please use the hand raise tool in Zoom or *9 if participating by telephone (press *6 to unmute). 

Written public comments must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the day of meeting to be acknowledged (with a summary) that night. Please reference “Public Comment for (Insert Meeting Date) City Council Meeting" or "Public Comment for (Insert Meeting Date) Planning Commission Meeting" on your correspondence.  

Public Hearing Protocol
To testify at a public hearing during a remote meeting, please use the “hand raise” tool within the Zoom program or press *9 if you are participating via telephone. These actions will notify the City Council or Planning Commission that you would like to testify. When called upon, you will be unmuted and asked to state your name and address for the record and be given five minutes to speak. (You may also be asked to spell your name for the written record.) If you are participating by telephone, press *6 when asked to unmute when it is your turn to speak. 

If you are unable to participate in a public hearing online or by telephone, written public testimony may be submitted until the day of the meeting at 4:00 pm (please see the email and mailing address above) and will become part of the permanent record.

The City Council’s regular meetings are the first and third Mondays of each month unless that day falls on a national holiday, then they meet the next evening at 7:00 p.m. Their work/study sessions are the preceding Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month.
