Help Solve Congestion

Commuters know that building more driving lanes is not solving traffic congestion problems. A more balanced solution is critical to reducing congestion, improving quality of life, health, the environment, the economy, and protect neighborhoods as well. Take a look at the photos below. Congestion is caused by the type of transportation people use. Four blocks of gridlock transport the same number of people as one light rail vehicle. We need to carefully consider all of our transportation choices:

  • Carpooling and Vanpooling
  • Bus Transit
  • Bicycling and Walking
  • Commuting at non-peak times
