The City of Mountlake Terrace Arts and Cultural Plan was completed and adopted by City Council on October 5, 2009. The planning process encouraged public involvement in a variety of ways, including educating and surveying the community about the future of our cultural services and public art programs.
This plan reflects our city’s vision of a vibrant arts community that responds to the needs and desires of our residents, friends, and visitors for Arts shows, opportunities, and classes, as well as arts in the parks and throughout our city.
The purpose of the Arts and Cultural Plan is to create a clear and concise set of goals, policies, and objectives that will provide direction for our City’s future growth. It is a comprehensive, long-range plan that will provide a foundation for strategic actions that will shape Mountlake Terrace’s Arts programs and art within the city over the next twenty years.
The plan is a working document that will guide both day-to-day and long-range decision-making.
