The City relies upon partnerships to keep the cost of providing services in check by sharing expenses, creating efficiencies, and creating a stronger base for leveraging scarce resources. The City of Mountlake Terrace has a number of partnerships in which we share services with other agencies and jurisdictions, provide services to other jurisdictions, and receive services from other cities and entities.
The Police Department, South Snohomish County Fire & Rescue, and Snohomish County Department of Emergency Management all work and train together, as well as sharing equipment and expertise. With each partner knowing their role, responses to crisis situations are seamless, avoiding gaps or overlapping of services. The City of Mountlake Terrace extends beyond its borders by partnering services with other agencies for consistent and comprehensive responses when we need them most, in an emergency. We encourage each citizen to also have a plan and be as prepared as possible.
