Conveniently located just 13 miles north of downtown Seattle along the Interstate 5 corridor, the City of Mountlake Terrace serves as the gateway to Snohomish County, 

In Mountlake Terrace, 85% of our residents live within walking distance of a bus stop. Community Transit provides local bus service within Snohomish County as well as several commuter routes to downtown Seattle. Sound Transit offers express bus service to Seattle and Everett from the Mountlake Terrace Freeway Station.  

Community Transit's Mountlake Terrace Transit Center has a parking garage that's able to hold over 900 vehicles. It facilitates Community Transit bus service and some King County Metro bus routes also.
Plans for a  Sound Transit Light Rail Station in Mountlake Terrace are underway. The new station is scheduled to open in 2024. 

Community Transit offers Dial-A-Ride transportation (DART) services for people with limited access to regular bus service or whose health or disability condition prevents the use of fixed bus routes.
AmtrakSounder Train and Washington State Ferry service is located in the neighboring city of Edmonds.
